PRE-FAM and POST-FAM Trips are offered for the TBEX Asia event. Please be mindful of the dates you apply for. FAM Trips participants are selected through an application process, only a select few attendees are accepted to these trips. Each destination looks for specific criteria, this may not always be based on numbers. Please make sure you can attend a FAM Trip before you apply. Our host spend a lot of time and effort on these trips and it is expected if you apply and are accepted you will participate. FAM Trip will be announced soon.

This experience highlights the natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and tourism potential of East Kazakhstan. Participants will travel through the scenic Osinovsky Pass to Ust-Kamenogorsk and the Katon-Karagay district, with visits to the Bukhtarma Reservoir and the regional Visitor Center in Ulken Naryn. Experiences include cultural immersion with the descendants of the Old Believers, rafting on the Bukhtarma River, and exploration of significant sites such as the Berel Burial Mounds, Lake Rakhmanovskoye, and panoramic viewpoints of Mount Belukha in the Altai Mountains. The journey also includes the Sibinskie Lakes and concludes with an introduction to the history and culture of Ust-Kamenogorsk.

Day 1 | Ust-Kamenogorsk – Katon-Karagay District
Departure from Almaty airport Arrival in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
Transfer via the Osinovsky Pass, one of the most scenic mountain routes in East Kazakhstan,
offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
Introduction to the Bukhtarma Reservoir, one of the largest water bodies in the country with
strong potential for the development of beach and active tourism.
Visit to the Visitor Center in the village of Ulken Naryn — presentation of the tourism
potential of the Katon-Karagay district, including key routes and tourism infrastructure.
Transfer to the village of Korobikha. Accommodation, dinner, rest.

Day 2 | Ethnocultural and Adventure Tourism
Immersion into the cultural heritage of the Old Believers’ descendants.
Introduction to their traditional way of life, customs, and handicrafts.
Cultural program featuring authentic folklore, traditional cuisine, and folk rituals reflecting the
unique identity of the local community.
Transfer to the Bukhtarma River. Rafting experience with adrenaline, speed, and unforgettable

Transfer to “Yasnaya Polyana” Guest House. Accommodation, dinner, rest.

Day 3 | Cultural Heritage and High-Mountain Landscapes
Transfer to the Berel Burial Mounds — a historical and cultural heritage site of global
significance. Introduction to the archaeological complex of the Saka period.
Transfer to Lake Rakhmanovskoye, a high-mountain natural site with a unique ecosystem.
Ascent to the Radostny Pass. Panoramic view of Mount Belukha — the highest peak of the
Altai Mountains and one of the key natural symbols of the region.
Return to “Yasnaya Polyana” Guest House. Rest.

Day 4 | Water Tourism and Recreational Areas
Transfer across the Bukhtarma Bridge, a strategic infrastructure facility of the region.
Visit to the Sibinskie Lakes, a popular tourist destination with strong potential for beach, family,
and active recreation.
Return to Ust-Kamenogorsk. Accommodation, rest.

Day 5 | City Tourism and Program Completion
City tour of Ust-Kamenogorsk. Introduction to the history, culture, and modern life of the
regional center.
Summary of the information tour and exchange of impressions.
Transfer to the airport. Departure to Almaty

This FAM tour showcases the unique tourism potential of the Mangystau region, widely
recognized as one of the most visually striking and least-explored destinations in Central Asia.
With its dramatic “Mars-like” landscapes, sacred heritage sites, and the coastline of the Caspian
Sea, the region offers a truly distinctive travel experience.
Participants will explore the city of Aktau and journey through the region’s most iconic natural
attractions, including Bozzhyra and Kyzylkup. The program also features visits to important
cultural and spiritual landmarks, such as the Karaman Ata Underground Mosque, providing
deeper insight into the region’s rich history and heritage.
This itinerary is designed to combine adventure, culture, and highly visual storytelling
opportunities, positioning Mangystau as a must-visit destination for international travelers and
content creators.

This extended FAM tour showcases the tourism potential of Astana and the Akmola region through a carefully curated mix of modern urban experiences, pristine natural landscapes, and premium resort destinations. Participants will explore Kazakhstan’s dynamic capital Astana, known for its futuristic architecture, cultural landmarks, and growing MICE and city tourism infrastructure. The journey continues into the heart of the Akmola region, featuring the UNESCO-listed Korgalzhyn State Nature Reserve, home to unique biodiversity and iconic flamingo habitats. The program further highlights the Burabay resort area, one of Kazakhstan’s flagship nature destinations offering high-end hospitality, outdoor activities, and scenic national park experiences, followed by the emerging eco-tourism destination of Zerenda and the regional center Kokshetau, showcasing local culture, history, and tourism development potential. This FAM is designed to demonstrate the region’s readiness for international tourism, combining nature, culture, adventure, and infrastructure in a single immersive itinerary.

This FAM tour showcases the tourism potential of the Zhetysu region through a unique blend of
breathtaking natural landscapes, outdoor activities, and adventure tourism.
Participants will travel from Almaty to Altyn-Emel National Park, one of the country’s most
iconic destinations, renowned for the famous Singing Dune and its diverse natural formations.
The program continues with dynamic adventure experiences, including rafting on the Koksu
River and paragliding over the scenic landscapes of Tau Zhetysu.
This itinerary combines nature, adventure, and high-impact visual storytelling opportunities,
making it ideal for international travelers, bloggers, and content creators.
