Happy St Patrick’s, I hope to make to the land of green one day!

It is interesting to find out that many people who live in Dublin prefer to head out of town for the St. Paddy’s Day holiday weekend. I guess the city-wide celebration is too much to stay home and experience the crush of tourists every year. Since Monday is an official bank holiday (what other country in the world gets this day off?), a three day European city-break weekend can be had on the cheap. My choice this year was Lyon, France (food, wine, Roman ruins, scenic and lively big city). However I did make it back to Dublin in time for a couple of pints of Irish beer (one Guinness and one O’Hara’s stout) at our local Irish pubs. Cheers!

This is a great video; brings back memories of last October. I now feel for a Guinness.
