Before TBEX Summit America 2025 officially kicks off in Wichita this October, a few members of the TBEX team got an early taste of the city—and let’s just say, it did not disappoint. From aviation history to incredible public art and moments that tugged at the heart, Wichita delivered a perfectly unexpected mix of inspiration, energy, and storytelling fuel for creators.
Here’s a roundup of the places, people, and moments that made our pre-visit unforgettable:
Kansas Aviation Museum: Where Legends Still Soar
Wichita didn’t earn the title “Air Capital of the World” for nothing. At the Kansas Aviation Museum, we stood in the shadows of aviation giants and got hands-on with history that shaped global flight. Between the awe-inspiring aircraft and a photo op from the control tower with sweeping skyline views, we left ready to fly even higher.

Sedgwick County Zoo: Welcoming Us with Open Paws
TBEX is all about community—and no one welcomed us quite like the residents of the Sedgwick County Zoo. From giraffes giving side-eye to meerkats sneaking a peek, it was a playful reminder of how travel helps us connect with creatures big and small. Bonus: This crew is already ready for their close-up when creators return in October!

Keeper of the Plains: Where Storytelling Meets the Sky
There are destinations, and then there are symbols—and the Keeper of the Plains is Wichita’s heartbeat. Perched at the confluence of the Big and Little Arkansas Rivers, this striking 44-foot-tall sculpture honors Native American heritage and invites quiet reflection beneath the open sky. When the fire pots are lit at dusk, it’s nothing short of cinematic—a must-see moment for every content creator.

The Vibe: Walkable, Surprising, and Full of Local Charm
Downtown Wichita kept us on our toes in the best way. Historic facades now house buzzy shops and cafes, and public art installations seem to pop up just when you need a reason to pause. We even found ourselves reflecting on how easy it is to wander between attractions—perfect for content creators looking to capture a full day of moments without needing a car (but, we also recommend a car for all there is to see!)

Museum of World Treasures: So Good, We Forgot to Post
Ever scroll through your camera roll and realize you were so wrapped up in the moment, you forgot to take enough photos—let alone share them? Yeah… us too.
That’s exactly what happened at the Museum of World Treasures, where towering dinosaurs, ancient mummies, and centuries of history lured us into the story. It’s the kind of place that deserves a full content shoot—but instead, it gave us something even better: wonder.

Final Thoughts: This Is Just the Beginning
From the first “hello” to the last bite of a local meal (on an air strip no doubt!), Wichita surprised and delighted us at every turn. And if this pre-visit taught us anything, it’s that this city isn’t just ready for TBEX—it’s ready to wow our entire creator community.
So start charging your batteries and prepping your lenses. TBEX Summit America 2025 in Wichita is shaping up to be one for the books.
