  • Only registered conference attendees can sign up for a Pre-BEX Tour.
  • Please sign up for only one Pre-BEX Tour
  • Pre-BEX Tours are open to both Content Creators and Industry Professionals and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. No guests, companions, or plus-ones are permitted unless they, too, are registered. There are no waitlists once a tour becomes full.
  • Please sign up with the same email address used when you registered for TBEX Summit America 2025. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in TBEX activities.

Discover Sedgwick County Zoo through a buzz-worthy adventure that includes hands-on bee farming and a honey-inspired lunch. You’ll also go behind the scenes of one of the largest elephant habitats in the country. This year, four baby elephants – born between April and August 2025 – have made headlines as the first time an accredited U.S. zoo has welcomed that many calves in a single year, making this an experience you won’t find anywhere else.

Delve into a hands-on bee farming and harvesting experience and enjoy lunch with elements of fresh honey incorporated in the meal at Sedgwick County Zoo, which spans 250 acres and is home to 3,000 animals. Meet the dedicated staff who care for the zoo’s growing elephant herd, who reside in one of the largest elephant habitats in the country. You’ll get a 360-degree view of these magnificent creatures living in their five-acre outdoor space. And this year is extra special as Sedgwick County Zoo has welcomed four elephant calves, making history as the first accredited zoo in the U.S. to have that many babies born in a single year, including the first ever born just days apart in Kansas! Next, meet one of the country’s remaining hat makers – Jack Kellogg – at the legendary Hatman Jack’s and get fitted for a custom hat. Round up this Wild West adventure by saddling up for a scenic horseback ride and tours of the covered wagon and treehouse lodging at Diamond Spring Ranch. You’ll also enjoy a hearty barbecue meal by Station 8 BBQ, a joint so good there are lines outside the door every day!

We’re taking it back, way back so you can step inside some of Wichita’s most iconic places, such as The Spice Merchant, located in the original factory of the Mentholatum Company, founded in Wichita in 1889. Want to go inside the very first Pizza Hut in the world? We got you! Wichita is the birthplace of the Pizza Hut fast-food chain, and the only place you can view the original pizza oven, the cash register used in the inaugural restaurant and the first sauce recipe written on a napkin. Local eateries that have been feeding hungry Wichitans since the 1930s? You’ll enjoy bites at three of them: Old Mill Tasty Shop, Nifty Nut House and NuWay Burgers. Conclude this tour at Bubbles, a champagne bar found inside local shopping hotspot, The Workroom. Both are located inside a historic downtown building that has been around since the times of prohibition.

Did you know a successful sit-in happened in Wichita two years before the protests in Greensboro in 1960? Join Galyn Vesey, who was one of the trailblazing students who participated in the historic 1958 Dockum Drug Store Sit-In, as he leads this enlightening and inspirational tour. He’ll take you to see Wichita’s Hattie McDaniel Memorial and a park that honors civil rights leader Chester I. Lewis and introduce you to the modern-day trailblazers behind businesses like Left on Read and Knockout Sneaker Boutique. Additionally, take in the sights and sounds of the Wichita Griots as you explore the Kansas’ rich African American culture at The Kansas African American Museum and end your explorations at Dockum, a Speakeasy-style bar located beneath the Ambassador Hotel Wichita – once home to the Dockum Drugstore.

If offbeat is your jam, this tour is for you! See mummies, one of the world’s most complete T.Rex skeletons and even General Custer’s underpants at Museum of World Treasures. Go inside one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s last prairie-style homes, complete with more than 30 pieces of original furniture designed by Wright, as well as all its original art glass. Don’t know what a bierock is? Find out at lunch when the group visits Prost, a well-loved German restaurant in the city. Explore funky local shops and end the tour sipping botanical cocktails, mocktails or coffee while creating your own terrarium at GROW Plant Bar.

This tour is designed for capturing visual content, with extra time for setup, filming and take down at each stop. On-camera interviews with zookeepers at Sedgwick County Zoo and other subject matter experts are included. While tailored to videographers, photographers, blog writers and social media creators will also thrive on this tour where capturing content is king. Experience three of Wichita’s most captivating attractions in one unforgettable tour! Meet the newest stars of Sedgwick County Zoo – four baby elephants, all born this year. Indulge in a family-style, farm-to-table feast at Public, a restaurant tucked into an old warehouse in the city’s brick-lined Old Town District. Next door to Public is the restaurant’s open-air entertainment venue, Brickyard, where you will be seated on the patio to gather content while the chef prepares and cooks the food. Then, take to the water with a kayak or partake in a drone adventure along the Arkansas River, ending with a picture-perfect view of the Keeper of the Plains.
