The Lighthouses
With over 20 lighthouses in our cruising ground of Penobscot Bay, seeing them all would be a feat, but we will see as many as possible during our cruise. Some of the lighthouses we
might see are: Rockland Breakwater Light, Owls Head Light, Hockamock Head Light, Curtis Island, Marshall Point, Fort Point, Brown’s Head, Pumpkin Island, Saddleback Ledge Light,
and Goose Rocks Light.
The Lobsters
One evening we will go ashore and enjoy a traditional Maine lobster bake with all you can eat fresh caught lobster, corn, and grilled steak from our local butcher.
Locally-sourced ingredients are at the center of every dish Chef Jocelyn serves, some even as close as her own garden & apiary. Jocelyn uses meals as a medium to tell stories from
her journeys both here in the US and abroad. Dietary needs and restrictions can usually be accommodated.
So grab your camera and join us for this spectacular adventure!
Your cruise is includes:

● Linens including fresh sheets, warm blankets, a quilt or comforter, pillows, and
towels

Our Ship
The J. & E. Riggin is a beautiful, historic two-masted schooner. She was designated a National Historic Monument in 1991. She is 89′ long on deck, 120′ overall, 23′ wide and
draws 7′ with her centerboard up. She was built in 1927 as an oyster dredger and rebuilt for passenger sail in 1977.
The Riggin’s eleven cabins are cozy yet comfortable. Each cabin has a sink with cold running, potable water, an overhead light and reading lights next to each berth, two USB
ports, and a 12V port. Each cabin also has a drinking glass for each guest, locally-made soap, and a pitcher, should you like to grab some hot water from the galley. Every private
cabin also has a window that provides light and can be opened for fresh air and ventilation.
The Riggin is fully equipped with GPS, radar, and radio. She meets all Coast Guard requirements for construction and safety equipment. Certified to carry passengers, she fully meets all requirements for stability and watertight integrity. The Riggin has no inboard engine. Her sixteen-foot diesel-powered yawl boat can be used during calm spells for maneuvering into or out of tight harbors.
