from art museums to vibrant murals, from bomba dance lessons to lively festivals that fill the
streets. On this trip, you will experience personalized tours of galleries, street art projects and
cultural experiences all around the island.
Day 1: Check in at property and Welcome Dinner. After you check in, the trip will start with a
dinner at Santurce. Santurce offers a window into a colorful, free-spirited neighborhood that
invites you to immerse yourself in the artistic heartbeat of the island. Located south of
Condado, Santurce is enjoying a “renaissance”, including an influx of new restaurants, shops,
galleries, museums, and more. To learn more about Santurce, click here.
Day 2: Discover Loiza and learn how to dance Bomba! A few minutes outside of San Juan and
just past touristy Isla Verde is the town of Loíza. It’s best known for its traditional vejigante
masks (folklore characters seen in Puerto Rican festivals) and the beachside community
of Piñones, where you can get some of the best fritters in the region. But what makes Loíza
distinct from any other part of Puerto Rico is the rich African heritage that permeates its
identity. The town was settled in the 16th century by members of the Yoruba tribe who were
brought to the Island as slaves. Nowadays, most of the music, dance, culinary traditions, and art
within Loíza is Afro-Puerto Rican. It also has the largest Black population of any town on the
Island. To learn more about Loiza, click here.
For dinner, you will experience La Placita! For over a century, La Plaza del Mercado de
Santurce – locally known as La Placita – has served as the farmer’s market of the Santurce
neighborhood of San Juan. During the day, when the main building is open, stands overflow
with fruits and vegetables. There’s a tobacco kiosk (look up to see the longest cigar in the world
hanging from the rafters), a butcher, and Puerto Rican restaurants serving lunch. The pace of
life is slow, and older folks sit around the square playing dominos. But when the sun goes down
and the market shuts its doors, the streets around La Placita come to life. Locals and visitors
arrive in droves and music starts to play around every corner. In just a few city blocks, you’ll
find high-end restaurants and bars next to chinchorros (inexpensive bar-restaurants), craft
cocktails and Medalla beer, people dancing salsa in the streets, and so much more.
Day 3: Explore Ponce and their arts culture! The Ciudad Señorial of Ponce is located on Puerto
Rico’s south coast, and is nicknamed “the Pearl of the South” for its many historical and cultural
attractions. It is the second-largest city on the Island (after San Juan) and it’s also known as the
“Museum City” due to its abundance of museums. To read more about Ponce, click here.
For dinner, the trip will include a Farewell gathering at the property.
Day 4: Check out and transfer to the conference.

Day 1: Check in at property and Welcome Dinner. After you check in, the trip will start with a
dinner at La Parguera.
Day 2: : Explore La Parguera! Blue skies above your head and water all around you — life
sounds pretty good at La Parguera. Bountiful coral reefs, tropical fish, a bioluminescent bay,
and the perfect on-the-water adventure is waiting for you in Lajas, a town in the south of Puerto Rico with an array of fun aquatic experiences everywhere you turn. From fishing to
scuba diving, kayaking, and simply relaxing, there are many ways to explore and enjoy all the
underwater treasures the Island offers. To learn more about La Parguera, click here.
During the night, the group will experience the Bio Bay. A trip to Lajas will not be complete if
you don’t visit La Parguera Bioluminescent Bay. After your day at the beach, head back to your
parador or vacation rental and get ready for the experience of a lifetime. At the bio bay, you’ll
witness the magical spectacle of glow-in-the-dark water as you kayak or paddle through the
water. This portion of La Parguera is one of the three bioluminescent bays in Puerto Rico, and
one of five in the entire world. Some guided tours provide you with equipment so you can dive
and swim after dark (this is the only bio bay where swimming is allowed), or you can book a
crystal bottom kayak to see the “stars” underwater.

it one of the undeniable references in the island’s gastronomy industry. Besides being a

around the north and west areas of the island.
Day 1: Check in at property and Welcome Dinner. After you check in, the trip will start with a
welcome dinner at the property.
Day 2: Discover Fajardo and drive your own boat! Fajardo is on the far eastern tip of Puerto
Rico and is only about 45 minutes away from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU).
Known for its breathtaking views, beautiful natural reserves, outstanding marinas, and stunning
hotels, this town is perfect as a home base for day trips to nearby islands and other laid-back
getaways. Fajardo is home to more than five marinas, including Puerto del Rey, which is the largest
marina in the Caribbean. You’ll also find the Laguna Grande Bioluminescent Bay, one of only five in the world; the Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve; and many other alluring places and
attractions. During this day, you will experience Fajardo’s nearby islands and cays by driving
your own boat.
Day 3: Ziplining through El Yunque and getting to know Loiza! What a better way to
complement your day trip to El Yunque than ziplining through beautiful green canopies? El
Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System but it is also a sacred
place in Puerto Rican culture. Many believe its name comes from the Taíno word Yuke, or
“white earth,” a reference to the clouds that gather around the forest’s mountainous peak;
others believe it derives from Yúcahu, the Taíno deity of fertility.
Today, this national treasure is an excellent destination if you want to immerse yourself in
nature. Here’s a look at some of the top things to see and do in El Yunque, from bathing in
natural pools beneath waterfalls to taking in the gorgeous scenery from its many hiking trails.
For the second part of the trip, you will visit Loiza! A few minutes outside of San Juan and just

Day 2: Discover Puerto Rico through chocolate and rum! The Island is green and sunny.
Beneath a grove of cacao trees, farmers harvest the first cacao fruits of summer. The 25-foot-
tall plants produce vibrant magenta pods filled with tiny brown beans.
When roasted in the sun, these beans — smaller than a pencil eraser — provide the bitter
decadence of espresso and the optimistic afterglow from caffeine. But if fermented, dried,
roasted, and ground, they also give us a treat famous worldwide: chocolate. After seeing all it
takes to make it, you’ll leave appreciating even the smallest square. During this day, you will
experience a visit to ChocoBar in Old San Juan and Casa Bacardi.
Day 3: Explore a Cacao Hacienda! Beneath dense canopies of green is Hacienda Chocolat, a
cacao farm near El Yunque rainforest. The glassy waters of the Atlantic Ocean lap in the
distance, just a short journey from the farm itself. Start your day in the field, where you can harvest cacao fruit for processing. After a tour, taste spiced hot chocolate and cacao marmalade, noting the plant’s distinct floral notes. Foodies may consider a separate wine and chocolate pairing class, while those interested in history may
consider learning about traded goods through a rum, tobacco, and chocolate tasting.

Vieques & Bio Bay Adventure
The stunning island of Vieques, just six miles off the coast of the main island, is home to a
pristine wildlife refuge and the world’s brightest bioluminescent bay. This trip will allow you to
experience Vieques through its many different attractions and unique gastronomy experiences.
Day 1: Fly to Vieques, Check in at property and Welcome Dinner. After you check in, the trip
will start with a dinner at a local restaurant in Vieques.
Day 2: Explore Vieques and take a sip of their Rum! The biggest of the islands sometimes
referred to as the Spanish Virgin Islands, Vieques lies six miles southeast of the Puerto Rico
mainland. The Puerto Rican poet Luis Llorens Torres dubbed it la Isla Nena (“Little Girl Island”),
alluding to its perception as Puerto Rico’s little sister. Vieques offers breathtaking scenery, unparalleled beauty, adventurous spaces, and laid-back experiences. The trade winds that blow directly over the island also provide a perfectly tropical marine climate with minimal temperature fluctuations.
This day will finish with dinner and the Bio Bay Tour. Recognized in 2006 by Guinness World
Records as the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world, Mosquito Bay in Vieques captivates
with its beauty and pristine setting. The bay’s mesmerizing brightness is due to the large
concentration of dinoflagellates – a quantity that was inexplicably doubled after Hurricane
María – ranging from an average of 1,000,000 to 2,100,000 per gallon of water. The lack of light
pollution surrounding the Natural Reserve of Mosquito Bay and the mangrove swamps that
feed the plankton make this natural spectacle one of Puerto Rico’s true wonders.
Day 3: Fly back to San Juan and enjoy the farewell dinner at Old San Juan. To enjoy the last
day of the trip, the group will fly back to San Juan. Check in at a property and enjoy the farewell
dinner at Old San Juan. For 500 years, the so-called walled city of Old San Juan has been
enchanting its visitors with impressive fortifications, towering walls, open plazas, hidden patios,
and cobblestone streets that will make you feel as if you’ve traveled back in time. Still, the city
never looked so passionate, bold, and enticing!
Day 4: Check out and transfer to the airport.
