With just over six weeks to go until TBEX Toronto, we’re in high planning gear. Later this week, we’ll be opening registration for some of the pre-BEX activities our host partners and we’ve been cooking up – and although we can’t give you all the details yet, we wanted to call your attention to them now so you don’t miss them when they’re published.
Travel Blog Exchange: Travel Bloggers Hit Dublin for St. Patrick’s Day Festival
TBEX Dublin doesn’t start for another six months, but our friends at Fáilte Ireland wanted to give some travel bloggers a sneak peek at our 2013 European host city during one of its biggest celebrations – the St. Patrick’s Day Festival. With the help of TBEX, they selected a small group of bloggers – Amber DeGrace (Tickling My Fancy), Andrew Dobson (Dobbernation Loves), Monika Fuchs (Travel World Online), JoAnna Haugen (Kaleidoscopic Wandering), and Yvonne Zagermann (Just Travelous) – to experience Dublin at its most green.
Travel Blog Exchange: Announcing TBEX Toronto Blog Trips
Having TBEX in a different location each time gives travel bloggers a chance to discover something new – especially when our hosts work so hard to showcase the best of their city and region. Toronto is no exception. In addition to all the fun we’ll have in the city, we’re excited to announce the array of pre-TBEX and post-TBEX blog trips that Ontario Tourism and Tourism Toronto are offering travel bloggers who will be attending TBEX.

TBEX at NMX 2013: Light Bulb Moments
Have you ever had the pleasure of watching a light bulb go off over someone’s head?
When we’re in the bubble of a TBEX conference, everyone buzzing about the new people they’ve met or the food at the parties or how much they’ve learned, it’s hard to imagine that there are travel bloggers out there who are entirely unaware of TBEX’s existence. But y’know what? We’re still a very small fish, and when Mary Jo and I recently worked at the New Media Expo (NMX) conference in Las Vegas, a phrase we heard repeatedly was, “I had no idea there was a whole conference just for travel blogging!”
TBEX Event at NMX
We’ve been putting the finishing touches on a couple of announcements – and an invitation – about TBEX at NMX, and we’re finally ready to show you what’s behind the curtain.
