The fifth and final round of speakers at TBEX Europe 2020 is a collection of 12 highly skilled professionals who will provide travel media – including tourism brands, content creators, influencers and vloggers – with constructive information, tools, and innovative strategies for success in the current travel and tourism space. TBEX’s 22nd travel bloggers conference in Catania, Sicily will also provide a wealth of information for industry travel and tourism providers on how to develop an effective online presence and work effectively with content creators.

Alastair McKenzie is a digital travel journalist/blogger with one foot in traditional media and the other in social media. Originally a national & international radio travel presenter, he then moved online and has become an active member of the travel blogger & social media community, speaking regularly at social travel conferences, events and trade shows. He is the British Guild of Travel Writers’ representative in the BGTW-ASTW-SATW alliance, and writes a niche blog, Mechtraveller.com.
Mansoureh Farahani is a versatile professional with more than 16 years of experience in journalism, media, creative writing, content creation and digital marketing working for TVs and other online media. She also shares her passion for tourism and travel on her travel blog and YouTube channel: Travel With Mansoureh. Mansoureh is from Iran, with a master degree in Tourism obtained in the UK, where she has lived for the past 8 years.
Mark Baker was a working journalist for years (including editor and correspondent of The Economist Group, business editor of The Prague Post, editor and correspondent of Bloomberg News and deputy managing editor of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty) before making the leap to travel writing in 2006. Since then, he’s authored 30 guidebooks and dozens of travel articles on Central Europe. He brings a journalist’s eye to the blogging community, and thinks too many bloggers simply don’t know enough about the destinations they cover. His presentation is aimed at helping writers on the ground quickly to amass the critical knowledge they need to write credible, informative posts.
Alastair, Mansoureh and Mark will share their thoughts in a keynote about earning the trust of your audience.Mark will also deliver a session about the three imperatives of great professional writing.
Max Hartshorne is the editor and publisher of the GoNOMAD.com travel website. Over the past two decades, he has had the privilege of working with writers and publishing travel articles about nearly every country in the world. He worked for daily, weekly newspapers and magazines for 20 years before buying GoNOMAD and becoming a web publisher in 2002. He has also been a consistent world traveler, writing hundreds of his own travel stories and posting daily blogs from the 10 or more yearly international trips he takes around the world.
Max has been a featured speaker for more than ten years at the NY Times Travel Show, spoken about the business of blogging at TBEX in 2012 and 2014-15, 2017, Traverse19 in 2019, and at many PRSA’s Travel Conferences.
Max will share his knowledge about travel writing for bloggers and social pros.
Janek Rubes and Honza Mikulka are local videographers whose YouTube series, Honest Guide, has been helping visitors avoid tourist traps in Prague since 2015. Their videos have generated around 90 million views. Janek and Honza were named the patron saints of Prague tourism in a recent article by the Independent newspaper due to their weekly videos that cover everything from where to party safely in Prague, where to eat and drink, and how to leave the airport without getting ripped off. Janek and Honza delivered the Closing Keynote presentation at TBEX Ostrava in 2018.

Melissa Lau is the creator behind Wanderful Traveler. Wanderful Traveler is designed to inspire and provide helpful tips for your travels and daily life. She loves sharing unique experiences and putting new things on the radar of her audience and followers. In 2016, Melissa took a leap of faith and bought an one-way ticket abroad to live out her dream of fully immersing into a foreign culture. He is often quoted in the major media as an expert on travel destinations and living abroad.

Tomiko Harvey is the owner and creator of Passports & Grub , and is fierce supporter of women who travel and minority travel as a whole. Tomiko is a 40+ fun loving and ambitious woman with 20 years experience in sales and marketing who set up Passports & Grub as a place to document all of her amazing personal and professional travel experiences while hoping to motivate and inspire her community to get out of their comfort zone and see the world. She has visited luxurious hotels and destinations around the world including Amalfi Coast, Florence, Rome, Czech Republic, Belize, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos. Kristin Karstendotter is co-owner of LivTours and is the Swedish logistical mastermind behind everything that makes LivTours operate (she even has a degree in it!). Her love for everything Italian brought her here for the first time to study the language in 2004 and in 2012 she made the leap, moved to Rome, and has been making LivTours great ever since.
Louise Vinciguerra is the Digital Content & Marketing Manager for LivTours. She is a native New Yorker living in Rome, and enjoys getting her hands dirty in content. Louise works on the SEO & Content strategy for LivTours, as well as email and inbound marketing with bloggers. She has also worked for companies such as Passpack, Google Arts & Culture and Expedia.
Paul Vulpiani is the Social Media Manager at LivTours, working across all channels to engage and inspire both leads and customers. He uses different social channels to identify and interact with digital storytellers to amplify the LivTours brand.
