Get out on the Gallatin River’s rapids by booking a whitewater trip down the Mad Mile or take a leisurely scenic float on the Upper Gallatin. During high water, the Gallatin offers the opportunity to experience a class lV rapid! If you would like to do some fly fishing, schedule a guided trip with one of Big Sky’s professional outfitters! The Gallatin River is a well-known Blue-Ribbon Trout Stream.
Summer Events for the Whole Family
Every Thursday night throughout the summer the community gathers for Music in the Mountains. A live, free concert series right in Town Center. Bring a blanket, your favorite cocktail and grab a bite from one of the local food trucks. Interested in checking out the work of local artisans? Stop into the Big Sky Farmer’s Market held every Wednesday in the Town Center.
