Second Round of Speakers for TBEX Asia 2022 Announced

The second round of speakers at TBEX Asia 2022 in Phuket, Thailand is a collection of 11
highly skilled professionals who will provide travel media – including tourism brands,
content creators, influencers and vloggers – with constructive information, tools, and
innovative strategies for success in the current travel and tourism space. TBEX’s 24th travel
bloggers conference in Lafayette, Louisiana will also provide a wealth of information for
industry travel and tourism providers on how to develop an effective online presence and
work effectively with content creators.


Kyle Jennermann is known for his popular YouTube channel, Becoming Filipino. With more
than 1 million subscribers, it documents the journey of a Canadian who was inspired by and
now lives in the Philippines. It is a channel that shares happiness, inspiration, adventure, and
life lessons…one day at a time. Kyle challenges the world around him with positive
experience and education while living and adventuring in the Philippines.


Kyle will deliver a keynote session about Social Media and building connections – both in
person and online.

With a decade-long career in social media marketing, Yosh Dimen is now a full-time travel blogger behind The Poor Traveler. The blog is about being smart when traveling, planning, and budgeting. And in most cases, the cheapest is not always the wisest. Yosh’s Social Media accounts have a combined following of over 2.5 million across various channels (including Facebook, Instagram) and his website receives over 1 million blog visits per month.

Yosh will explain how to build a Social Media Empire for your website.

Sharon Gourlay escaped the rat race in 2015 by building a successful family travel blog while travelling. Her success is attributed to her advanced skills in SEO and affiliate marketing. She now concentrates on continuing to build a successful Malaysian destination blog. Sharon also helps other bloggers creators achieve the same success by learning effective SEO strategies and techniques.

Sharon will show how to gain readers, influence and monetise with destination sites.

Andrew Dobson is a Toronto-based digital publisher who specializes in food & drink, LGBT and luxury travel. Andrew has traveled to over 80 countries and worked as an ambassador for brands like DK Eyewitness Travel, Absolut, Canon, & Air Canada. Andrew is the publisher and editor-in-chief of dobbernationloves. He has a background in traditional media with past stories appearing on top Canadian outlets including Travel + Escape, Metro News, Vancouver Sun, The Province, Daily Xtra, Dreamscapes Magazine and Eat in Eat Out. Andrew also acted as a regular travel expert on Toronto’s ProudFM.

Andrew will explain how content creators can diversify and increase their income.

Megan Singleton has been blogging since 2009 and began hosting tours for her readers in 2017. She has come runner up for Best Travel Blog in NZ 2016 & 2017 and received the US Travel Association Travel Writers Award in 2009 and 2011 and an on the NZ Herald list of Top 50 Tweeters to follow. Megan also features as the Sunday travel correspondent on Newstalk ZB radio which broadcasts across New Zealand.

Megan will explain extraordinary creative collaboration ideas for content creators and DMOs.

Isabel Leong is a full-time travel blogger at Bel Around The World and SEO coach roaming the world at a whim, Isabel helps aspiring content creators and brands get the most out of their online presence by attracting organic leads/traffic and achieving financial freedom. Her website is a platform to share travel adventures and travel tips that she has learned through being on the road, and provide destination guides to millennial and student travelers who seek to spend less and travel more.

Isabel will show lesser known SEO strategies when writing an online article.

Ajay Sood is an award-winning featured photographer, a photojournalist, a photography jurist and a photography educator, having delivered more than 100 photography workshops. Ajay has also been a director of more than 50 photography tours. He speaks at many travel and media conferences, and he has been published in many publications, including the book ‘Dozen Doyens of Photography.’

Ajay will demonstrate how to photograph landscapes and architecture using wide angle.

In 2013, with $50 and a website, Amanda Ponzio-Mouttaki took a tour idea business and turned it into a 6-figure business that weathered the storm of the last 2+ years. Her website MarocMama and tour company Marrakech Food Tours are well-known resources on Morocco. MarcocMama is a blog for food-loving, adventurous travelers who want to connect with people and places on a more authentic level.

Amanda will detail how to use your website to establish a destination tour business.

Boom Garcia is a visual artist, filmmaker, and frustrated chef from Manila. He is the creative director of Our Awesome Planet and the co-founder of Digital MNKY, a small multimedia production studio that has produced films for local and international Tourism Boards (Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan) that ushered in the trend of modern food and travel videos in the Philippines.

Sean Nolan is an anthropologist and photojournalist. He is currently the Director of Photography at Our Awesome Planet and co-founder of Digital MNKY, a small multimedia production studio based in Manila. He has produced films for local and international Tourism Boards and helped to usher in the modern trend of food and travel videos in the Philippines.

Boom and Sean will host a workshop on mastering Reels and short-form vertical video creation.
