First Round of Speakers for TBEX North America Fall 2022 Announced

We are excited to announce our first group of speakers for TBEX North America Fall 2022 in Lafayette Louisiana. The first round of speakers at the Fall edition of TBEX North America 2022 is a collection of 5 highly skilled professionals who will provide travel media – including tourism brands, content creators, influencers and vloggers – with constructive information, tools, and innovative strategies for success in the current travel and tourism space. TBEX’s 23rd travel bloggers conference in Lafayette, Louisiana will also provide a wealth of information for industry travel and tourism providers on how to develop an effective online presence and work effectively with content creators.

Travis Levius is a freelance writer and editor, content creator (@misterlevius), and travel writing coach. After quitting his teaching job in Atlanta to pursue the unknown across the pond, he somehow stumbled upon a career that’s brought him on Indonesian yachts, face-to-face with Easter Island’s mysterious moai and in “Prince William and Princess Kate honeymooned here” villas in the Seychelles.

His writing has appeared in print and digital publications such as Condé Nast Traveler, Vogue, CNN Travel, Forbes Travel Guide, Lonely Planet, and National Geographic Traveler.

Samantha Wei is the co-creator and co-owner of Mytanfeet. Originally from Washington state, she moved to Costa Rica in 2012 and started Mytanfeet alongside her husband Yeison to promote the country’s tourism. Together, they have spent the last ten years working full time to turn Mytanfeet into Costa Rica’s top travel blog, publishing over 700 detailed guides about the up and coming tropical destination. Samantha is the main content creator of Mytanfeet in charge of photography and blog posts. As a successful 6 figure travel company in Costa Rica, Mytanfeet has helped thousands of readers plan their own trip to Costa Rica by classic travel blogging and storytelling.

Jay Jay Maniquis is a native San Diegan and Filipino-American who has hosted for TFC, the most-watched Filipino Channel in the world. His mother was born in Cabuyao, Philippines, and his Dad in Quezon City, Philippines. Jay Jay feels that it is important to learn about your roots and heritage. You may have seen Jay Jay on Youtube on his Travel Channel called Jaycation where he focuses on travel, food, and culture in cities like San Diego, Las Vegas, Barcelona, and Manila! He grew up idolizing the likes of Chef Anthony Bourdain and TV Host Rick Steves. Recently, Jay Jay co-created and co-hosted a 6-Part Docuseries on KPBS in San Diego about Filipino Creativity.

Lauren Gay is the creator of Misadventures of an Outdoorsy Diva blog, host/producer of the Outdoorsy Diva Podcast, published photographer, and CEO of Lauren G. Media where she offers professional consulting services for blogs and podcasts, courses, as well as curated group adventure trips.

She is a travel writer and Social Media influencer who is passionate about inspiring black women to step out of their comfort zones for new experiences in travel and adventure and an advocate for racial diversity in outdoor recreation.

Lauren will show how to get repeat business From brands and DMOs.
