Carol left a career in public relations to venture into the world of travel blogging in 2008. Carol’s writing has earned her awards and recognition from travel industry leaders, and her work has been featured on acclaimed online sites including Expedia Viewfinder, Huffington Post Travel, and Forbes Travel Guide. In addition to sharing her travel stories, Carol is often a public speaker, promoting methods for improving brand and blogger relationships as well as raising awareness for increased diversity in media. Carol’s site, Girl Gone Travel, features a variety of inspiring posts on her travel, culinary, and lifestyle experiences.
Claudia Tavani is a former human rights lawyer and academic. She abandoned her career to follow her true calling, which involves rafting down mighty rivers, zip lining across canyons, and trekking to hidden archeological sites and to the craters of active volcanoes. She is a lover of beaches and anything water, and is particularly attached to Sardinia (Italy) where she was born and raised. Through her blog, My Adventures Across the World, Claudia shares her stories, provides tips, and occasionally embarks on a ‘rhetorical rant’ or two.
Dave Bouskill & Deb Corbeil
Dave Bouskill is a well-known travel personality and photographer, both online and in mainstream media. He has won numerous prestigious photography awards as well. His wife, Deb Corbeil, is also a well-known travel personality. They’ve traveled to 105 countries on seven continents and inspired over 3 million fans in the process. Dave and Deb’s acclaimed Travel Blog, The Planet D, won back to back Gold Medals from the SATW, and was named best Travel Blog by NATJA. The duo has worked with top travel brands and destinations as spokespeople and ambassadors. Dave and Deb have been featured by numerous media outlets, including Red Bull, Martha Stewart, The Today Show, BBC World, and NATGEO. They are dynamic public speakers on all things travel and blogging, and on pursuing your passion.
Eli Meiri is the founder and president of Israel 4 All. A licensed travel agent and tour guide, he has over 15 years of valuable experience developing various services for individuals with disabilities and special needs. Eli is a member of SATH and ENAT ( the European Network for Accessible Tourism). In 2009 and in 2012, he wrote ‘Eretz Negisha’, a supplement for The Israeli Ministry of Tourism that highlights trips and tourist sites in Israel that are accessible to people with disabilities. In 2016, Eli founded Israel 4 All Inc. with colleague and fellow tour guide Avihai Tsabari of In Search Of Israeli Cuisine.
Traveler, speaker and author Kerwin McKenzie is a former airline employee who travels an average of 250,000+ miles each year. He writes up-to-date airport, destination, and ground transportation guides as well as airline flight and hotel reviews. Kerwin also has a mission to motivate airline employees to use their travel benefits at Passrider.com.
Kerwin has flown over 160 airlines and visited 114 countries, and teaches travelers how to be loyal to travel brands at CruisinAltitude. He has recently launched another website, Unfamiliar Destinations.
Megan Indoe quit her unfulfilling “dream job” in 2013 and accompanied her husband Scott Herder to Korea, where their adventure and traveling together began. They subsequently launched a successful website Bobo and ChiChi, where they share their travel experiences, travel tips, stunning photos and hyperlapse videos. Both Megan and Scott are leading breakout sessions at TBEX International 2017 in Jerusalem.
Michael Collins has worked in the travel and media industries since 2001. During this 15+ year span he has worked as a public relations and marketing specialist, travel journalist, editor, and publisher (Backpacker Abroad and Irish Business Traveller magazines). Michael has also worked in television and radio as a presenter and travel expert. Well-known in the travel industry, Michael is respected for his industry knowledge, contacts and professionalism, and sits on the International Advisory Committee for the French Tourist Board.
A founding member of TravelMedia.ie, Michael is a regular speaker at travel and media conferences, including Travel Centres, DMX, Worldchoice, and TBEX, where he was the keynote speaker at TBEX Europe 2015 in Costa Brava, Spain.
Michael Huxley is a published author, professional adventurer, and founder of the travel blog Bemused Backpacker, where he inspires and encourages independent, safe and responsible travel. Michael is a charge nurse by vocation with an interest in emergency nursing and travel medicine, but his real passion is independent travel and adventure.
Orr Shakked runs the global online marketing team at TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site. His team is responsible for display advertising, social marketing, direct partnerships, and the TripAdvisor affiliate channel. Online marketing at TripAdvisor spans the globe with 45 points of sale and 21 languages. Orr is a travel industry veteran, spending the past 12 years in the travel industry. Before TripAdvisor, Orr spent 8 years at Expedia Inc. in various product and business roles. He holds a masters degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Vicki Winters is a food, travel, and video blogger, and proudly declares, “I’m all over the place”. Whether producing live-streamed content on Periscope, FB Live or making Snapchat stories, Vicki’s content always has a humorous take on life. She is brutally honest (sometimes to a fault), and gladly shares her stories about mental health challenges with her audience. Vicki is turning 60 years old this year (rather hard to believe). She recently developed a program for her peers called, “Social Media For Old Farts”, which she will be taking onboard cruise ships as way for guests to learn about Social Media, and for brands to organically add content to their social channels. Vicki is based in New York City, where she can typically be found riding her bike while exploring and making snapchat stories. She prides herself on being a Bucket List Boomer. (Turning 60 doesn’t have to suck.)
