Fam Trips

FAM Trip applications are now closed.

Travel Bloggers who are registered to attend the conference are welcome to apply for a FAM Trip that will showcase some of what Louisiana has to offer!

Please note the following in submitting your application:

  • You MUST be registered to attend TBEX Lafayette before you apply for a FAM Trip.
  • You will have an opportunity to select a first, second, and third FAM trip choice when completing your application.
  • If you are selected, you will be invited to participate via email from the FAM trip host (approximately one month after the application process closes).
  • The FAM trip hosts make all the selections from attendee applications, this is a very selective process, and not all applicants will be chosen.
  • If you are applying for a TBEX22 NA FAM trip we are assuming you will be able to attend if you are accepted. Please do not apply if your travel plans will possibly be changing. Our hosts spend a lot of time selecting attendees and when an attendee is accepted and then cannot attend or cancels last minute this takes opportunities away from other applicants. Please be very considerate of this when you apply.
  • Transportation is not provided to or from Lafayette, Transportation is only provided as indicated on the FAM description.

Experience the charm of the original French colony in Louisiana. Natchitoches (Nack-a-tish) was established in 1714, and retains its European flavor through its architecture, heritage and lifestyle. Chances are, the thing you’ll love most, (aside from the famous meat pies) is the charming 33-block Landmark historic district – a shopper’s paradise and a bed & breakfast lover’s dream.

Discover more than 300 years of history from the historic sites and museums to the National Historic Parks and National Forest. Get ready to be immersed in a natural, cultural landscape that has become one of the best small towns in the South, for a lot of good reasons.

Natchitoches is situated at the head of the El Camino Real de los Tejas, along the historic Jefferson Highway, and on the border of what was once No Man’s Land, or the Neutral Strip. The cultures that have diverged in this area have developed a land rich in stories and heritage.
