Description: We will start our day with an unforgettable Milanese food walking tour where you won’t only discover the flavors of Milan, but explore lesser-known local spots in the city you might have missed on your own. Just some of the local food you’ll enjoy include Italian coffee, cannoli, prosciutto, Italian cheese, Milan-style meatballs, lasagna, wine, and Prosecco! Come meet all the wonderful vendors who put their heart into their specialties and learn what makes eating and drinking in Italy so wonderful. You’ll even get to try a special Milanese risotto that is absolutely delicious. Your Milan food tour will conclude with a treat that needs little introduction: gelato. You’ll learn how to spot the freshest gelato so you can take the insider knowledge of this Italian ice cream with you through the rest of your time in Italy. And of course, come hungry!

We will then take a break (another coffee round perhaps?) followed by a very VIP experience.

Your expert tour guide will meet you in the Piazza del Duomo, one of Milan’s main city squares bustling with bars and restaurants. As you can take in the facade of the Duomo di Milano (Milan Cathedral), you’ll hear plenty of interesting anecdotes about this gothic style cathedral before going inside. With Skip-the-Line priority tickets, you’ll waste no time passing the long lines and going straight inside the cathedral. Our first stop is the underground area, filled with relics and archeological artifacts dating back to the first structure and baptistery that stood where the cathedral is now, initially built in 1386. Your walking tour will continue inside the nave of the cathedral, where you’ll enjoy the stunning stained glass windows and white marble statues. Your guide will take you to some of the most interesting details inside often missed by visitors including the Duomo sundial trail and the Holy Nail (one of the most important relics in Christianity). After taking plenty of time inside the main Cathedral area for walking around and taking photos, your guide will lead you to the elevators. After a quick elevator ride, you’ll find yourself in one of the best spots in the entire city for panoramic views of Milan. In addition to getting up close and personal to the intricate details and sculptures nestled among the cathedral spires, you’ll see the modern Milan skyline and the famous Alps mountain range off in the distance. To conclude your tour, we’ll go to nearby Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Not only is this Italy’s oldest active shopping mall, but one of Milan’s most beautiful landmarks. Be sure to look up so you don’t miss the iron and glass-vaulted ceilings. This tour is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the history and beauty of Milan’s most famous attraction.
