Your small group tour includes a timed skip-the-line entrance to the Colosseum and priority tickets to the Forum. Your guide will explain the history of the Colosseum from the emperor who built it to what happened to it years after the collapse of the Roman Empire. Then we will head out on our evening bike tour to discover the little streets and hidden gems of the popular area called “Trastevere”. Famous for overflowing restaurants, street food, and nightlife, this is the beating heart of “La Dolce Vita”.Passing through the Trastevere, we will visit the medieval and Catholic part of the city, traveling as far as the great columned entrance to Saint Peter’s Basilica and Castel Sant’Angelo. On a bridge with a truly majestic view, your guide will open some local red wine and try to convince you the regional grapes around Rome are superior to those found in Tuscany! In the last part of the tour, we will give you a glimpse of the glamorous side of the eternal city, taking via Condotti (Rome’s 5th Avenue) to visit the Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish steps.
