Southeast Montana

In Southeast Montana, you can experience the untamed Yellowstone River Valley, as the river flows unchecked toward its rendezvous with the Missouri River. You can kayak in the gentle waves of Bighorn Canyon. You can watch the sunset paint the badlands with red and gold from your vantage point along the scenic drive to Makoshika State Park. Visit Montana’s mountains, see Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, but don’t forget that you will never get the full picture of Montana’s natural wonders unless you experience the badlands, canyons, rivers and prairies of Southeast Montana.  Explore some of the TBEXtras Billings and the Southeast Montana region have to offer.

Welcome to Billings, TBEX Attendees!

We’re excited that you’re coming to our neck of the woods. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite experiences and things to do in our hometown.  Billings is laid back and casual. You can go anywhere in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Locals love our brewery culture and the great outdoors. We hope you enjoy your time here!

Red Oxx Factory Tour

Quality soft sided luggage for your spirt of adventure.  Come take a fun and informative tour of Red Oxx Mfg.  See how this made in the USA gear is produced from start to finish.  This guided sneak peak into our production will be led by CEO Jim Markel.  You’ll be given an intimate glimpse of how manufacturing is done in the heart of Billings.  Over two decades, Red Oxx has evolved from a basement business that Markel’s father started into a manufacturer and worldwide distributor of rugged travel luggage and other gear. Like its luggage, this business has been nomadic.  The manufacturing facility Red Oxx moved into seven years ago is its eighth home.  This is for those who seek adventure every day!
