Come be a part of Crayola history with this exclusive, hands-on tour celebrating the grand opening of Crayola Experience at Mall of America. A family attraction with locations in Easton, Penn., and Orlando, Crayola Experience is a larger-than-life destination where kids and adults alike explore art and technology, express their creativity and experience color in a whole new way through 26 hands-on activities, all inspired by Crayola products and technologies. During the tour, you will star in your own coloring page (Be a Star!), name and wrap your very own Crayola crayon (Wrap it Up!), paint with melted wax (Meltdown), bring your art to 4-D life with your touch (Color Magic), learn how crayons are made in our live Factory Show and so much more! Leave with a bag of handmade keepsakes, but most of all, leave inspired! Following that, you’re welcome to stay and play or come back any time during the weekend. This is a family friendly pre-bex activity, and children under 18 are welcome when accompanied by a registered adult. You must sign up each child in a separate transaction.

VOM FASS Presents: International Craft Whiskey Tour

Taste your way through the family stories, history and processes behind VOM FASS’s very special craft distilled spirits, featuring: American Bourbon and Rye, Irish Single Malt and Single Grain Whiskey and Scotch Single Malt and Blended Malt Whiskey. The tour will include a “wee dram” of each whisk(e)y, light bites featuring VOM FASS Oils, Vinegars & Spices between tastes and an intro-level overview of the history and processes of whiskey distillation. This tour will take place in the VOM FASS store inside Mall of America.

Explore the charming river town of Stillwater, named the most picturesque small town in Minnesota by USA Today, to find unique dining, shopping, architecture, history, craft beer, wine and more. The historic city is considered the birthplace of Minnesota, and is a popular destination for weekend wanderings, romantic rendezvous and girlfriend getaways. Activities include a historic trolley tour, lunch at a charming inn, photo opps of the historic lift bridge, and a beer or wine tasting. Exact itinerary is subject to change.

The southeast corner of Minnesota hugs the Mississippi River, which created beautiful bluffs and vistas along the Great River Road and is home to several charming towns. In Red Wing, see the world’s largest boot at Red Wing Shoe Co., tour the Red Wing Stoneware factory and pottery museum, and shop in the antique stores and boutiques in the historic downtown. Continue south to Wabasha, home of the National Eagle Center with live bald eagle programs and spotting scopes, and visit LARK Toys in nearby Kellogg to see the carousel and handmade toys. Wabasha Street Caves presents: Historic Caves and Gangster Tour

Start the journey with a 45-minute guided tour through the historic Wabasha Street Caves – a former speakeasy and gangster hangout – and learn about their rich history and bountiful stories. Then you’ll hop on a bus for a two-hour long tour led by costumed professionals that will guide your group through some of the most notorious gangster areas in Saint Paul. You’ll learn why Saint Paul was once a gangster’s paradise with information on hideouts, night clubs and bars that regularly held some of America’s most wanted.

Notes: Food will not be available during this tour. Participants could bring something to eat in between cave tour and gangster bus tour or on the bus.

The Fit Tourist – Heart of City Walking Tour

We will discover how the beautiful and historic buildings represented the era in which they were built. You will experience the vibrancy of the theater district and see artwork that is unique to Minneapolis. From famous musicians to infamous characters, come experience why we say that Minneapolis has all the amenities of a big city but with a small town feel. This fun, interactive program includes a small dish/appetizer course with Executive Chef Everton Clarke of Cedar + Stone, Urban Table, then progresses to the main course with Executive Chef Paul Lynch at Urbana Craeft Kitchen & Market, and finishes with a dessert course with Executive Chef & Nature Photographer Eric Baker of Blue Water Grill.  Get to know each Chef ‘s culinary perspective, use of local sourcing and Minnesota offerings, and experience the flavor of Bloomington.

Take a tour of Minnesota’s first ever Brewstillery, a brewery and distillery all under one roof. Open since 2014, Bent Brewstillery is known for its award winning spirits and beer and when you add a crawfish boil into the mix, you get an experience of the bayou right in Minnesota. Enjoy crawfish, corn, taters, swingin swine Jambalaya while you learn about the beer and distillery process.  Open to all ages, but must be 21+ to drink.
