Hello TBEX Participants,
Registration is now open for the incredible Denver to Keystone Road Rally, Friday, June 15, where ten teams follow clues for 6-7 hours and 6,000 feet of elevation gain, experiencing a variety of only-in-Colorado adventures in a race from the Mile High City to the Continental Divide and beyond.
Encounters may include giant blue bears and shiny red bicycles, rock climbing and ziplining, steaming locomotives and gleaming copper beer kettles, snowballs and buffalos, rock stars and gold mines — with photo, tweeting, and posting opportunities along the way.
Details: The Rally begins at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 15 in Denver and participants will arrive in time for conference check-in at the Keystone Convention Center.
Racers select from three major categories:
1. Beer Adventures
Sample a multitude of local Colorado brews in gold mines, at finish lines, and even two miles above sea level. Plus, learn why Colorado produces more beer than any other state.
2. Historic Encounters
Experience elephant encounters, stand on the stage where the Beatles performed, visit gold mining towns, and ride narrow gauge steam locomotives through breathtaking Colorado canyons.
3. Adrenalin Rushes
Fly through more than a mile of Colorado forest, climb in red rock monuments, and have a snowball fight on top of a mountain pass.
Each team will have a driver, a van, and a set of Pit Stops task requirements. Winners will be judged on creativity and completion of tasks within time limits (not on driving times). All contestants will receive victory beers at the finish line as well as great posting opportunities. The winning team will be announced at the opening keynote.
Space is limited. To secure a spot on this race to Keystone for the TBEX conference, please email TBEX@visitdenver.com by May 31, 2012. Please be sure to select an encounter.
