The best of the Beskydy Mountains

Description: One visit to the Beskydy Mountains – and you’ll fall in love forever. Come with us to the picturesque little town of Štramberk, nestling in the hills beneath its fairytale castle; be sure to taste the local gingerbread specialties. Visit the birthplace of famous psychologist Sigmund Freud – Příbor with interactive exposition located in the Freud’s birth house. Or come to enjoy industrial heritage in the Tatra car museum in Kopřivnice. On second day, we will explore together the medieval castle in Hukvaldy and then we walk to the top of the range’s highest peak, Lysá Hora – the Queen of the Beskydy, where you can enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the mountaintops. We stay overnight at the hotel on the summit – and if you get up early enough, you’ll be able to catch the sunrise. After breakfast we walk down into the valley where you will take a golf lesson at one of the region’s finest courses. We complete the tour with a well-deserved relaxation at the fantastic Miura wellness hotel.

The raw beauty of the Jeseníky Mountains

Description: Discover the raw beauty of the Jeseníky Mountains with this exciting taste of great outdoors. On the way to the Jeseníky Mountains, we will stop by at the Slezská Harta water reservoir where you can experience a lot of fun during boating. The next stop will be at the medieval castle Sovinec with a guided tour. We will spend the first night at the hotel equipped with the Fun Park where you can enjoy some adrenaline activities the next day morning. Then we will visit the highest mountain spa resort in the Czech Republic, Karlova Studánka, where you can try out the local spring water. After lunch we set out on a relatively demanding hike through the Bílá Opava valley to the highest peak in the range, Praděd. The route includes ladder-climbs and tricky river bridges; however, every meter will be well worth the effort. At the summit, there is a TV transmitter – the highest building in the entire country. And our hotel for the night is the transmitter building itself. After a hearty breakfast we return to the valley and move to our next stop the Dlouhé Stráně hydro power plant, which is unique, and you’ll find out why… On the way back, you will experience the longest downhill ride on scooters in the Czech Republic!  The trip finishes with a guided tour of the Opava city – White pearl of Silesia.

Description: Come and join us on the trip through the history of our region. Visit the Karviná chateau with its beautiful park where you can experience boating on the chateau’s lake. On our way to Frýdek-Místek we will stop by at the Archeopark where you can admire a reconstructed prehistoric settlement. We will grab the dinner at the Imrvére restaurant in Frýdlant nad Ostravicí and have some fun with a bowling game. Then we will move to our hotel in the Bílá resort from where we’ll set off for a morning trip on bicycles (possible to rent an electro bicycle, as well). It would be a sin to stay in Bílá and not to try the great tracks around. After well-deserved lunch we will move to Rožnov pod Radhoštěm where you will be able to feel the true touch of history while visiting a traditional folk village in the open-air museum. Later we will move to a stunning accommodation with spectacular views of surrounding mountains. Next morning, before we set off, you will get a chance to grab a golf lesson on the great golf course nearby. Our last point of interest on this tour will be Nový Jičín – town of hats.

It is all about the castles

Description: This tour will give you an opportunity to see how the nobles lived in different time periods. We will visit two medieval castles Křivoklát Castle from the 13th century and Karlštejn Castle from the 14th century. Another trip will be to Mělník where we will enjoy not only the castle but also wine tasting. On the third day we will immerse ourselves in the medieval times even more while exploring Kutna Hora (UNESCO town) and its famous past in silver mining.

Description: Come and join us on our trip through Czech history and beautiful landscape of South Bohemia. We will pay a visit to a historical town of České Budějovice, where the old brewery Budweiser Budweis still brews its delicious beer. Then we will stop in the picturesque village of Holašovice which has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage. Of course, we will not miss the chateau Hluboká nad Vltavou, the jewel of neo-gothic architecture. The peak of our sightseeing tour is going to be Český Krumlov, UNESCO monument with the second biggest castle complex in the world. After hearing so many fascinating stories from the past we will proceed to the outdoorsy part of our tour. We will do some hiking in the National Park Šumava and we will also have a possibility to enjoy some sunshine on the beach of Lipno Reservoir.

Description: Welcome to the world’s capital of beer, to the hometown of all pilsner beer and to the birth place of Pilsner Urquell. Pilsen and the whole region have way more to offer than beer. A guided tour of the city of Pilsen will take you to the main square and church of St. Bartolomej but also to the Great Synagogue (3rd largest in the world). You will see the newly renovated interiors of luxury apartments from 1930’s designed by Adolf Loos. Find out more about the end of WWII in the Patton Memorial Museum and see the long and deep past in the underground of Plzen. Description: First few days will be devoted to the Bohemian Switzerland National Park – a paradise for all photographers, hikers and filmmakers. You will never forget this tour which will take you to the natural wonders of the Czech Republic. You will explore Europe’s largest sandstone arch – The Pravcicka gate and we you will be hiking along the deepest sandstone canyon in Europe – Elbe river canyon. Description: Let us have a look around Liberec, which used to be the center of Czech business in the 18th century. After the general tour we will climb to the top of Jested hill and hang around the world known Jested TV transmitter with a cozy restaurant and a hotel. Another remarkable stop in Liberec will be at Ferdinand Porsche Birth House. To find out more about nature in this part of the country, we will go to Jizerske mountains for a nice hike. We will go to Bedrichov, famous for international cross-country skiing races. On the way we will see Černá Nisa reservoir and Šámal’s Cottage – hunting mansion of a Czech noble family. Next day we will visit another important town in this region and the capital of glass and jewelry, Jablonec nad Nisou. On the last day we will go back to nature to explore Bozkov Dolomity Caves.

Description: Bohemian Paradise is all about beautiful nature, mysterious castles and romantic chateaux. It is also a UNESCO Geopark with unique geomorphological heritage. On the first day we will walk around the little town and center of this region – Turnov and then we will go to a tiny village called Mala Skala (little mountain), often known as “the Pearl of Bohemian Paradise”. It is located in the valley of the river Jizera. This hike will take us to Sucha Skala, an amazing natural gem with 20 sandstone “towers”. On the next day we will go to see chateau Sychrov with beautiful English garden. On the tour we will learn about the life of nobility in the second half of the 19th century. The third day there will be a hike to the rock formations at Hrubá Skála and the elegant Hrubá Skála Chateau. And the last day will please all hikers. We are going to do a long walk through the forests of well-preserved nature which will end up at the mysterious ruins of castle Trosky.

Description: Vysočina means The Highlands in Czech, therefore we will take you up to the mountains as well as to many interesting towns. Jihlava, our first stop is the capital in this region. Jihalva is famous for its underground, which we will visit during our general city tour. Also, this town is the birthplace of world famous composer Gustav Mahler whose museum cannot be missed. Next, we will explore Třebíč, a town with well-known Jewish quarter and St. Procopius Basilica, both registered in UNESCO List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage. We will see how close both Christians and Jews lived in the medieval ages in peace. Close to Třebíč is located another important town – Telč. It is another gem of the Czech architectural heritage which is listed by UNESCO. Once you enter the main square and the castle area, you will feel like in a fairytale. Last trip is going to be a hike in the mountains where we will get to admire the beauty of Czech Canada (for real!).

Description: Welcome to the second biggest city in the Czech Republic. Brno has many things to offer – not only in terms of sightseeing but also in terms of culture, eating out and having fun. Brno’s great location in southern Moravia will give us the opportunity to explore the whole region rich in architecture and vineyards. At least one full day is needed for the tour of Brno, we don’t want to miss any of the big squares, churches or Spilberk castle and all amazing bars. A special attention will be paid to UNESCO World Heritage monument – Tugendhat villa, which undergone a complete reconstruction recently. Once we get to know the city closer, we will transfer more to the south to visit Mikulov, an important wine town. From there we will make our way to another set of UNESCO monuments to Lednice-Valtice area. Beautiful chateau complex with long history, English parks together with vineyards and Moravian wine tasting in a local wine cellar will make your stay both informative and relaxing. And unforgettable, indeed!

Description: Join us on our way to the east region of the Czech Republic. We will start our adventure in the largest city of East Moravia, Zlin. During the general tour we will find out more about the city’s history, functionalist architecture which made Zlin famous and of course we will get to know closer the most famous citizen – Tomas Bata. He started not only a famous shoemaking company but also, he changed the city very much. To see more about the famous shoe brand Bata, we will go to the Museum of Shoemaking. And we will not miss the Bata skyscraper “21”, the highest building in Europe at its time. When we are done with all the stories of Zlin we will head to Kroměříž, another must see place on our list. We will take a long walk around the gardens and the castle, both registered by UNESCO World Heritage. The third place we are going to visit together is the town of Luhačovice, a spa town specializing in treatment of digestive and respiratory problems. We will admire the original architecture by Dušan Jurkovič and we will get to taste famous mineral spring Vincetka. On our last day we will go visit local distilleries to taste some of the original Czech plum brandy.

Introduction to Olomouc and surroundings

Description: Olomouc will surprise you with its beauty. We will walk around the city center with its six fountains and another UNESCO monument of the Czech Republic, the largest free standing baroque statue. During our tour we will try Olomouc tvarůžky, stinky cheese with its unmistakable smell and delicious taste. Next day will take us to Svatý Kopeček, to the Holy Hill, where we will pay a visit to the Pilgrimage Basilica of Our Lady of the Holy Hill, then we will go to see Šternberk Castle, located on the top of a rock. Then we will go more to north to Chateau Velke Losiny. Next, we will learn more about the oldest paper manufactory in Central Europe and will visit the Paper Museum. The handmade-paper mill in Velké Losiny attempts to be registered as UNESCO World Heritage site. Our last stop will take us south from Olomouc to the complex of vernacular architecture buildings in Příkazy, also known as Hanácké skanzen where we will get to know the traditional way of life back in 19th century.
