This Dublin Post-BEX tour will depart from Failte Ireland office in Amien St, Dublin
Description: Leaving the city centre you will be guided along the coast on the north side of Dublin Dublin’s Bay stopping off along the way to view and photograph its wonderful highlights before arriving in the picturesque village of Malahide. With its colourful hanging baskets and traditional shop fronts you’ll have time to explore this charming coastal village before setting off on a charter boat and seeing Dublin from a different perspective. Take in the iconic islands off Dublin’s coast such as Lambay Island where you’ll visit the resident wallabies and Ireland’s Eye.
Just beyond Ireland’s Eye the boat trip will also take in the quaint fishing village of Howth where the restaurants along the seafront serve up the catch of the day. You might even get a chance to meet some the resident seals in the harbour.
Make your way back to Malahide where you will get a chance to visit Malahide Castle and Gardens which has a long and rich history, dating back to 1175. Take your picture beside some of the oldest trees on the Malahide Castle demesne- including the contorted branches of the old oak tree and the ornamental ‘Cedar of Lebanon’ tree believed to be nearly 400 years old!
