Date: Sunday, May 29th, 2016
Time: 8-10:30 p.m.
Location: Nickelodeon Universe (inside Mall of America)
The Opening Night Party for TBEX North America 2016 will have you scaling the heights, plummeting the depths, and spinning all around at the exclusive TBEX party at the largest indoor theme park in the U.S., Nickelodeon Universe. We’ll be the only ones in the theme park, so get prepared to be WOWed.The seven-acre park has 27 rides and attractions, including five roller coasters, the tallest Sky Trail ropes course in the world, and the longest indoor zip line in North America. Rides that will be running during the reception include: SpongeBob SquarePants Rock Bottom Plunge roller coaster, which has a 90 degree climb and a 97 degree drop that sends riders rocketing into a loop and a corkscrew in quick succession, and Avatar Airbender, a giant, 70-foot-tall half-pipe, skateboard-roller coaster hybrid that spins riders independently as it races up and down the half-pipe.
Food and beverages will be provided dine-around style by an assortment of Mall of America food and beverage tenants and some of the best restaurants, breweries and distilleries in the Twin Cities area.
The opening night party is a family friendly event. All adults must be registered attendees for admission. TBEX badges are required and will be checked. Badges may be picked up earlier in the day on Sunday and will also be available at the theme park as well. Children under the age of 18 will be permitted at the opening night party (without a registration badge) provided they are accompanied by a registered adult.
Entrance to the event will be on the ground floor, east side, in the Rotunda.
The party will run from 8-10:30 p.m. Be sure to arrive with plenty of time to sample all the food and drink after you’ve indulged in a few heart-quickening thrill rides. Or do it the other way around and test your stomach’s fortitude, but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
PLEASE NOTE: Cameras and/or recording devices will NOT be allow on the rides in Nickelodeon Universe.
