The Tourism Promotions Board – is the marketing arm of the Philippine Department of Tourism tasked to formulate and implement an integrated domestic and international advertising and promotions program. Starting in 1973 as the Philippine Convention Bureau (PCB) and renamed as the Philippine Convention & Visitors Corporation (PCVC) in 1986, the organization supports sustainable national development thru sustainable tourism development, cultural awakening, countryside development, environmental conservation, investment generation, foreign exchange generation, employment creation and poverty alleviation. These processes have been institutionalized thru interrelationships established with the Local Government Units, DOT Regional Offices, DOT Foreign Offices, Tourism Coordinating Council, and Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA).
